I often wonder why it's so fun to keep a blog. Does it have something to do with 'exhibitionism'? I came across that term in a newspaper article I was reading a while back. (Yes, I read newspapers occasionally. They can be fun).
Isn't it worrying how anyone can be reading about your life? Okay, I guess most blogs aren't that personal and even if they are, they're made to be private. I should do that. when I get down to it.
So, why am I tired? My family (paternal) has been busy with my granddad's book launching. It was held yesterday. Since I'm here (and relatively free, compared to the other 'chins'), I was assigned to write a tribute to my granddad. I'm so glad it turned out okay. It was a great idea to compile everyone's thoughts. Though I was a bit stressed that I was asked to make last minute changes and all. Sheesh, I should learn to take things less seriously. Spontaneity is inevitable. I also played one of my exam pieces accompanied by who else, but the one who played for my exam itself, Esme. =). Wah, I am so thankful I got her to accompany me before she heads off to Italy. Mr Lee and I were imagining next time people may have to fly her back from italy to accompany them for exams (and she'll go" yay! Kolo mee!". HAHAHAh!) Oh I shall proclaim here, she has been selected for a United World Colleges Scholarship to study music in Italy! Amazing opportunity! For a well-deserving musician =).
How great is our God.
The exam was a bit disappointing though. i went out of tune for the 1st piece (unaccompanied). *sighhhh* So yucky. I need to humble myself (greatly) before hearing my results in a few days' time. Must not hope too much for wonderful news. It's saddening that I didn't do as well as my grade 8 of course. Actually, those results were really really unexpected. Would have been happy with a pass. Ah well, I'm still hoping for unexpected good results. Wait, that makes it 'expected'? Hmm, in a way no. I think =p. Anyway, I felt like doing it again. i came back and just played through all the pieces. It felt good 'playing it by heart'.
Okay, back to the book launching. I was feeling so prouddd. of my granddad la. A perfect gift for Father's Day (i don't think anyone mentioned that yesterday though). i didn't even know it was Father's Day (until serena told me in the car last night). My poor papa.
Aiya, so frustrating not knowing much Mandarin. My poor grandparents have been putting up with my 'banana traits' for .. a long time. :P.
We came back in the afternoon (while cousins and relatives went to the art museum to view the exhibition again). Later, went to Chrissy's house for her birthday. It was fun meeting people, a few ex-schoolmates, (C, A, M, SB) and her LimKokWing collegemates. Later, I got a call from Serena asking me to join her and phingphong for Kungfu Panda. I was reluctant cuz yeah, tired already hehe. But then I thought, I haven't seen them for a while, so I should meet up :). Mum picked me up from chrissy's place a little early :( (cuz mum was really tired too by then). Reached home about 10. Serena picked me later to phingphong's house. And we watched Kungfu panda. Funnyyyyy and cuuuute. phingphong has been christened as 'Po', serena as 'praying mantis' i think, angel as 'the old turtle' haHAHAHA! And me as the 'bird'??? He's cool :P.
Though it finished at 12.30am, (1 and 1/2 hours) I reached home at 3am. The time in between was spent with McD and football (no, I didn't really watch ;p). As usual, the sweet serena and her trusty 'siaw hei' were my means of transportation.
I shall sleep in ... 13 minutes ;p.
I think my eyesight isn't getting better with the pinhole glasses. I'm worried if they actually made them worse (cuz I don't know how to use it properly). I don't want to wear glasses permanently =(.
Stupid me, why am I still here?
Umm, I should make sure I have enough wearable clothes for college next month. Nervous.

Yesterday, in the car, I was talking with my dad about the possibilities. This is before I hear the news.
I comforted my own fears of the future by quoting a saying I found on my dad's friend's office table. hahahah.
"It's not the destination, it's the journey". It's not very important
where you end up in the world or what you take up as your career. It's
how you journey through life, how you live. Just give your best shot at
whatever you decide to do and you'll be just fine. (There are some
exceptions, for example, a tone-deaf person trying to be a professional
musician. Oh, who knows, maybe if the person prays really really hard
and God knows he will be able to do well, he may give him a musical
ear. Faith can move mountains right?)
Plus, come to think of it. All paths lead to the same destination
anyway. I don't know about you, but I wanna go to heaven at my
journey's end. ;D We'll all meet there =)
